THE STATE “CLUBHOUSE” UPDATE
Phase One
Prior to opening, the executive director will need three-six months to attend the three week training, set up the physical space, purchase & obtain supplies, write policies, create all needed forms for documentation & running the Clubhouse, & develop the specific Clubhouse programs. Then, the Clubhouse will open 3 days per week with the additional part time unit coordinator. The two days the clubhouse is closed the executive director will be recruiting members, evaluating programs, billing for services, obtaining insurance approval, enhancing or creating programs & funding.
The club-house will be limited to 10-14 members per day. Services offered will be the work ordered day with 1-2 work units (tasks may be combined across units). Members will have the opportunity to participate in the development & help prioritize the growth of clubhouse.
Phase Two
As the clubhouse grows, it will be open five days per week & employ three full time work unit coordinators. The clubhouse will provide services to 20 members a day & will have all three above mentioned work units.
Employment programs & community growth will be added as the community decides & as funding allows. Program development will be driven by member’s needs & desires for how the clubhouse will expand & grow.
As additional services are added employment of a part time vocational counselor & transitional employment job coach will be required. ##
